Every number here is provisional. This bench exists so they can be felt rather than reasoned about, and settled before they are minted permanently into a covenant with no key to amend them.

⚠ It runs the exact code the covenant will be validated against — mint/src/shell.ts, through vendor/grafmint.js. A bench that reimplements the physics is a bench that quietly disagrees with the chain.

Real references, for calibrating against something you can recognise: 402 m is the quarter mile — a Top Fuel car covers it in about 4.5 s past 330 mph, a quick road car in 12–13 s. NHRA shortened its fastest classes to 1,000 ft (305 m) in 2008. 1 tick = 0.1 s · 1 unit = 1 m.

Result

ET is the tick count — the chain length. Fuel burned is what the miners took, so a slower run is a more expensive one with no penalty anybody had to design.

Velocity

Traction off the line · full throttle

· hooks up   × spins — at FULL throttle, which is the one thing no sane driver uses off the line. A car marked × is not a car that loses; it is a car that must lift to launch, trading force for grip until speed brings the grip back (GV). So read this as where the throttle stops being free, not as a verdict. The verdict is the race.

Is there a dominant build?

Runs every engine and tyre combination over the current strip with a driver who never breaks traction. If one build wins everywhere, the meta is broken — a good one has no car that is right for every track.
